When does amateur boxing help children in crisis? When financial giants get off the trading floor and into the ring. Ringside for Mercy's Sake, the spectacular annual fundraiser for Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, this annual event has helped to fund the housing, counseling and care of children in need of a stable environment since the first swing taken in 1991. With more than 1200 guests attending the event annually including prominent figures from sports, entertainment, business and politics including Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mario Andretti and others.

Since 1887 Mercy Home for Boys and Girls has changed the lives of more than 22,000 children in Chicago. With the mission to save young lives by providing a safe, nurturing home, and opportunities for an excellent education and personal growth.
