A recent notable project was the site-specific installation Public Notice 3 by contemporary artist Jitish Kallat at the Art Institute of Chicago. The work, which was on view from September 2010 to September 2011, recreated a landmark speech by Swami Vivekananda, given on the site of the Art Institute on September 11, 1893. With Larry Smallwood, Production Plus realized the artist's vision by creating panels composed of 68,700 LED lights in five colors for the staircase risers while still respecting the architecture of the museum's main entrance hall. The installation remained in place for one year and was able to withstand the footsteps of hundreds of thousands of visitors over the installation's extremely successful year-long run.
