Mecum Auctions: Muscle Cars and More is a TV series: six episodes devoted to the high energy drama of muscle car auctions.  It’s claim to fame; in addition to Mecum being the premiere auction house for muscle cars in the world, these are the first car auctions to be broadcast in hi-definition television–on HD Theater, a part of the Discovery Network.  Production Plus made the scene–literally.  The set for the car auctions was fabricated by the Pro Plus shop.

“The set looks phenomenal,” said Tom Christmann, marketing director for Mecum.  “In particular, it translates really well to HDTV.  The colors are perfect.  I think the designers really were aware of the ultimate medium for the set,” said Christmann.
